There are only 30 to 35 thousand active Scientologists left in the world. They've shut down many of their orgs, and have slashed staff at the remaining ones. The church lies to Scientologists and the rest of the world about the number of members and orgs.
A close friend of Tom Cruise said he's afraid to talk about Scientology with Tom. It looks like Cruise is distancing himself from being their main celeb spokesperson.
They probably have enough money stashed to keep up the fuckery for awhile longer, but the gravy train is ending.
