I appreciate that observation, because the accent is what many people target for criticism.
That's on the internet though. In real life, I have never had anyone actually state anything rude about my accent.
In fact, during my travels to various places around the world (even some in the USA) I have had people say very friendly and lovely things about the accent.
Bottom line... there's appreciation available for everybody in the world. You just gotta be in the right place and find the right people. Everyone is gonna be loved somewhere or by somebody.
