that show ended in 82. high fructose corn syrup was deployed mid to late 70s into the 80s, thus beginning the obesity epidemic.
i don't recall seeing many fatties in the 80s as a child. i do remember the one person in charge of the day care center i went to, her name was Peggy. i purposely pronounced it right in between Peggy and Piggy.
