i grew up on LEGO. i had a lot of fun with it, i still play with blocks today but now it's done in 3d sandbox video games. you could 3d print custom LEGO pieces and build anything.
eventually the tech will mature and it won't just be plastic, it will be alloys and polymers all of which will be able to be recycled back into 3d printers.
then, we can start applying cymatics and harmonic resonance in 3d printing to create perfect atomic geometry drastically increasing the quality of the build.
