I would agree relationships change after reproduction for all those reasons.They seem to become more familial than romantic. That's why people stay together for the sake of the kids--for the family unit.
Once you have kids, your priority becomes making your kids happy and not yourself (usually) so you make all kinds of sacrifices to try to maintain a stable homelife.
I'm guessing there are kids in the picture here.
