I'm a cat person.
Cats are just so much cuter than dogs.
They're so much furrier and they have so much cuter features than dogs do.
They're so graceful too... they're regal creatures.
They really don't do anything nasty or dirty besides lick their asses.
Cats are so much more relatable to me.
Dogs are great creatures...
All animals are great. Any animal is better than a human...
But still, I'm just not into dogs, and I don't get people who are.

I'm trying to think honestly about whether or not I'd lick my own ass if I could reach it.
Hmm.

Nah I'm thinking probably not.
Why did I even consider that?

I am more of a cat person. Dogs smell and you have to take them for a walk... including cleaning up their shit. The upside of a dog is they actually care about you unlike a cat.

Yeah I forgot the mention how dogs just stink and cats almost never do. Again, it's because they're dirty unlike cats. They'll roll around in nasty shit... dogs even eat shit. Cat shit to be precise. Straight up disturbing. I can't tell you how many times we used to catch the dog eating out of the litter box when I was a kid (last time I had a dog and a cat at the same time). Oh man that is nasty.
Thing is, cats DO care about you... or at least they have the capacity to. They show their love in more subtle ways... they'll notice you when you come home after being gone a long time, but they don't run around or get all excited like dogs do. I love cats.

I still dream about my childhood cat sometimes... he died at 16. It's special to grow up with an animal, hell of an experience for the animal too I'm sure. I did some pretty crazy shit with that cat, pretty hilarious... we had a lot of fun. He was a good cat and he would show that he cared sometimes. Cats have deep emotion... all the animals have deep emotion.

I think they notice you because they want food lol. My cat treats me like some sort of prostitue.

My childhood cat died when she was 18. Died of liver cancer. Injecting the cat with lethal injection is sad :(

Yeah the food thing has always bothered me... they only give a shit about you when they're hungry. You know how moms get all bitter and shit over being used sometimes? I started to feel that way about my more recent pets once when I realized all they ever wanted when they saw me was food. Even if they already had food. But my childhood cat was not that way... he was never about begging for food because the animals weren't spoiled by treats in our house so they never expected it.

I guess it's rare to find a cat that cares lol.

Lol well actually it sort of is like a woman trying to find a good guy. For some it's hard to.

totally wrong in my experience. i've had several cats that could clearly sense when i was down and would come find me to hang out, even after when they had food/water recently placed. they also frequently come to greet me when i'm home, or come say hi and then return to what they were doing.
i do have quite the affinity with cats tho, even having cats i've just met at other people's houses sit on my lap and purr first time.
dogs to me are basically like slaves - some want constant attention so a lil slave animal works for them. i dislike that. i like how my cats make a choice, sometimes choosing to be loving and friendly and sometimes choosing lazy apathy. that makes the interactions with cats carry more weight imo. it's also more like me.
