I never send autograph requests to people who are known to use autopen.

You just send a pic of them to their fanmail address, and include a self-addressed, stamped envelope so they can easily mail it back to you.
Sometimes they don't accept your own printed out pictures for copyright/image credit reasons and they will send one of their approved pics instead, but I've never gotten one that didn't have a real penned autograph on it.
Mel Brooks is an exception... I didn't put his name on the list because the pic I received back was autopen and there was a note saying that basically he was too unwell to sign autographs anymore. Which is really sad.

I've sent out a lot of requests that never came back... and some get returned to sender due to out-of-date fanmail address info.

I had Edward James Olmos's autograph too, but I lost that one. Weird! I may have a scan-in of it in my archives though.

It's always awesome when they personalize the autograph with your name... I have some real gems in my collection, I gotta say. It's a great hobby. Super exciting to open them.

His was really exciting to get back because I had a MAD crush on him back in those days. There were greasy fingerprints on it, which really turned my crank.

I loved his because he signed my name and then he wrote "Hey"...
I thought it was fucking precious.

He gives an excellent autograph...
The way he wrote my name was gorgeous.
His also said "Lots of Love" which is really sweet because I had a super mad crush on him way back in the day too. Like SUPER mad.
He has a really cool autograph signature.

His was deluxe. He was one of those who sent their own approved pic back.
It was signed in silver marker and he wrote out my name as well, it was a posh autograph for sure.
His autographs are very bold. He knows he's fucking legend.

Super great autograph, very sweet... also wrote my name, and a happy face. Was cute. I made sure to send in a super excellent pic of her too, I think they probably appreciate getting lesser seen but super flattering pics of themselves to sign.

He actually signed both sides of the pic and dated it, which was very interesting, nobody else has done that. And he wrote my whole name. Like first and last. LOL. Love him so much, oh my God.

Now this one was absolutely amazing. I always write a very nice but brief note with my requests. He wrote a small note of thanks back to me. Loved him so much on Barney Miller.
Hal Linden's autograph was great too, also wrote my name. Barney Miller = top 3 favorite TV shows of all time.

I've really admired Catherine Coulter since I discovered her books in 2007. First one I read was "The Cove". I used to have a decent size collection of her books, but they died in a fire. She really is a captivating writer, if she could get my attention, LOL! Admittedly, I discovered her books during a summer vacation that was far less than entertaining... so boring I actually read books. So there you have it. Don't get me wrong, I love and collect books... but I basically never read them.
Anyway, back in the day I did exchange a few emails with her. She said some very interesting things.
As far as her autograph, it was excellent and she also wrote a small note. She's great. She included some bookmarks too.

Now this one is one of my most prized, considering how much I love Catwoman. She really did change my life when I got into totally idolizing her around age 12. I really needed her, and she came at just the right time.
She sent some promo stuff with her autograph... it's always cool when they include stuff like that.
I also exchanged emails with her, a few over the course of several years. You never forget the things your idols say to you. Never. She's a very interesting woman and I love her very much, though I couldn't disagree more with her politics.

One of my absolute favorites...
I won't share what he said, but in addition to writing my name, he also wrote something very fun and unexpected... wonderful man.

Now this one really gave me a ladyboner, considering the fact I'd fallen madly in love with him after discovering Poirot some years back.
Very classy autograph. Signed my name and gave wishes... I still get all giddy looking at this one.

Betty White and Carol Burnett both signed hearts... absolutely over the moon with their autographs and I like to think my photo selections of them were absolutely top notch.
