This will be one of the best selling tarot decks of all time.
It began as a Kickstarter campaign...
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mat...ck-art-nou
An artist guy made this for his wife.
The deck isn't perfect... but it absolutely is the most beautiful non-Smith/Waite deck I've ever seen.
They should offer a version of it without the gold for a lower price point.
It's the most unique deck out there, artistically. It almost has a vintage kinda feel to it.
It's absolutely a captivating and stunning work of art... hard to get ahold of too, sells like hotcakes.

I just got mine...
They handle super well.
Thick deck, thick paper, but shuffle so nicely.
The back design of the cards is perfect, and sometimes the card backs can really be a miss in my book.
It is absolutely the most light and beautiful deck I've ever seen.
I've always held the Smith-Waite as my favorite because there's usually always something I don't like about the art on most decks.
But this deck doesn't have any failures in that arena.
I think it's very cute how the artist (Matt) worked his name into every picture... kinda like Pamela with her lovely sigil that she incorporated into each of the Smith-Waite tarot cards.
I feel like Matt and company must have known that this deck would become a standard and be one of the most popular decks of all time.
It has that feel to it... but not in a pretentious or haughty way. Just in a destiny kinda way.
Really beautiful deck... I still hold Pixie's Smith-Waite deck in the number one position as the most necessary tarot deck ever.
But as far as splurging in some dreamy, light and refreshing artwork... as far as something new and totally different/unique, yet somehow timeless, Ethereal Visions is victory.

I like the artist guy's signature/sigil on these cards, he writes his name in a way that reminds me of doorways/entryways.

I really like the two bonus "major arcana" cards as well.
I think that was a brilliant touch, and it brings the card count up to 80, which is also really auspicious.
I appreciate the fact that they call the court cards by their traditional names, Page, Knight, etc.
And that they call the suits "wands, cups" etc.
I hate it when decks use "knave" or "chalices" and stuff like that instead.
That ruins it for me... I don't like that.
And there's nothing worse than decks that try to go all SJW and make it "racially diverse" (gag, dry heave) or change the page and the knight to "princess" and "prince".
Some decks take it overboard even worse.
I'm just so glad they stayed classic and timeless with this deck. They did everything right.

I used to be pretty hot on oracle cards and I still think they're great...
But I more so dig the Lenormand style cards cards now, particularly this is the one I use:

That's the one I call the "spooky lil deck" and you never use it unless you want a serious answer that may not be what you wanna hear...
I'm very respectful with that deck and I don't push it. It'll tell you within a few cards what the deal is. If the answer is nice, thank it and put it the hell down, that's how you use that deck.
Regular tarot is a lot more... gentle.
I like to use multiple tarot decks so if I get the same card twice, I know which issue is most important in the reading.
It can also signal the end of the reading when a card is drawn twice... historically that is the way I've interpreted it.

I have this weird thing about my tarot deck backs matching each other with their colors too...
That's another thing that is so great about Ethereal Visions, it really matches well with both sizes of the Smith-Waite...

Ethereal Visions is even bigger than the Smith-Waite Centennial deck...
Yet it's easier to shuffle. The Centennial deck is printed on the most hardcore stock I've ever seen any deck have... which is great. They'll last basically forever. Pixie's artwork deserves no less than that kinda quality. But they are a little hard to shuffle... you get used to it though.
Thing is, some people are gonna complain that the Ethereal Visions is too big to shuffle... and to that I would say, they're shuffling the wrong way. Don't shuffle longways, shuffle from the side. You can side shuffle almost any deck... even the little ones, like the Smith-Waite 'tarot in a tin' deck.
