I played the main guitar and sang it live as one take... so mistakes. I liked it so I added the rest as overdubs. Mistakes and stuff.
What a great song. Elton John was really, really great for a time. I remember I got my mom his Greatest Hits album around 1975. I was only a kid and she was only like 30. Every song on that album is good.
Anyway....
The video and pictures are just stuff I shot and strung together with MS 'Photos" .

I'm glad you liked it. I think it turned out pretty good myself. I was inspired to do that because I heard Rocketman for the first time in a long time and I think it was a remastered version. It sounded incredibly good and it's always been a really great song. So I learned it on acoustic and then I just recorded it with an open mic. I only have one microphone so I had to position it the best I could and there was a lot of bad frequencies that had to be equalized out.
After I learned the song I played it several times before I recorded it. The video was done with Microsoft photos which is very very basic but it turned out really great! I have a lot of footage that I keep . Some of that was from the beach just a few days ago.
Right now I'm waiting outside of an office waiting for my first appointment. I have to go in and replace for computers for them. After next week I won't have a job because this is a six-month contract that's ending. So pray for me!
