But it always seems to come from the same place...
I've traced it to what seems like this need they have to downplay interest in you...
Yet on the other hand they're tirelessly pursuing you.
So when they pull this 'finishing move' as I call it, it not only makes them sound like total idiots...
But it betrays the fact that they're really just not that honest.

I've rarely ever seen it out of the 'bad' dudes because they don't come around putting on a show pretending to be good dudes...

I used to tell people how they fucked up and tried to warn them not to do it with other chicks in the future...
They were always shocked that what they said was interpreted the way it was by the female brain.
But I say they were just using that as an excuse for the total embarrassment they must feel when they're called out on their retardation.
I used to try to help them, but now I see it's pointless...
Now my strategy is I never tell them what they did wrong.
Don't wanna warn dudes about this... first of all, they seem to just keep fucking up anyway, and secondly it's not fair to the future chicks they will (wholly unsuccessfully) go on to pursue.

I’d say about 30% of the dudes I’ve encountered over the years do this.
It’s not ALL of them by a long shot. Just a certain ‘type’... and the only thing they seem to have in common is this ‘tendency’, I can’t figure out any other similarities between them. So far.
