When you're a tiny little piece of land attached to China (or right beside it)...  I really don't know how you could expect to remain independent. Is it even logical at all to expect Hong Kong to be independent of China? I really don't think so. In a perfect world, sure. In this world, nah.

China shouldn't have to kill anyone in order to occupy and take control of Hong Kong. China has so much manpower and tech, there's no way they actually need to kill anybody to take it over. Get fucking real. There's no reason.
