They know that think-tanks out there get to the bottom of literally everything they do...
In addition to knowing in advance, a lot of the time. In light of that fact, it'd be crazy for them to release a bioweapon on purpose... I mean I guess they don't care that we know, it's never stopped them from pulling mass shooting psy-ops. But it's just outrageous. I guess they buffer themselves by knowing that whoever is in power when it's over will just alter the history books and nobody will ever know.

I guess that'd be fine if development of immunity was possible against a bioweapon.
