I'm of the opinion, since early last year, that it's a completely engineered "virus"
that can be activated/controlled remotely. Think Krycek with the hand-held device and A.D. Skinner but on a MUCH bigger scale. Or - I'm just a whackjob. But I'm not totally sold on the latter.
