She's got a really beautiful natural look, I love it. I don't give a shit about hair in general, but she's one of the only people I've ever genuinely thought had amazing blonde hair, like really amazing. She's an interesting creature, the lyrics are interesting... But knowing how she felt about it all really changes the dynamic and makes me interpret it in a different way. It makes me see her differently than I would if I didn't know anything about her thoughts and feelings in retrospect. I like it.

She didn't have a smoker's voice in her heyday anyway.

No I don't think she did either...
I don't really think she ever developed a stereotypical smoker voice. It deepened but it doesn't sound bad... Pretty sure some of that happens with age anyway, at least to a degree the voice changes some.

The idea of smoking like that makes my head throb a little bit but if Joni liked it so much she that took up music to pay for the habit then, hey I'm glad she got what she needed! I'm not a huge folk music fan, I mean it's great but it's not something I hang around and listen to much. But the world was definitely enriched by Joni's music, that's for sure.
