On the downside, there's no autocomplete or any T9-style word guessing. It doesn't give you anything for manual texting. I think the expectation is that you'll use Google voice.

When I'm moving around, I'm usually doing something else and don't have time to mess with the phone.

I do 99% of my Internet activity on a desktop or laptop, along with everything else that requires the resources of a real computer. Phones are good for chatting and GPS, and that's about it.
