I've never encountered a piece of fish that was taxing to chew.

No I actually did read that somewhere.

That's probably why fish is the one meat that is absolutely the most necessary for humans to eat.

I think fish bones are designed for picking teeth and also that pointy bone cartilage you find in poultry.

Yeah I was thinking...
Way back in the day, how did they get these huge chunks of meat out of their teeth?? I mean I guess you could string together enough hairs to act as dental floss. But that's just not optimal. I dunno... I think a lot of signs point to the impracticality of eating huge chunks of meat.

In the ballpark here....
I have one scoop of this in the morning in a cup of water and a little milk...... https://www.amazon.com/MuscleMeds-Carniv...B004HY325K

That's smart, 52, thanks for sharing.
I like all the different choices on the market, I was thinking about drinking something like that once or twice a week. I considered trying out some Ensure to see if it's any good... but it has a lot of questionable ingredients in it. Couple times a week might be okay, but wouldn't wanna take it regularly. I love the taste of meat and whatnot, I just don't like chewing it. I think I'm fine on nutrients with my diet as is, for the most part, but I still have some desire to supplement.

They used to wait until lightning struck a tree and set it on fire so they could cook their food. Then one day a bright young Neanderthal decided to collect splinters from the blasted tree. And that's how toothpicks were born. #TheMoreYouKnow
Makes sense.

I bet some plant fibers are strong enough to floss with.
The only danger with flossing is getting the floss material stuck between your teeth too. So you have a rotting piece of meat stuck in your teeth, then on top of that, pieces of whatever you used to floss with... Could lead to infection.

Just absolutely disgusting.
Feet and mouth problems are the main reasons people have historically died so young.

And without giving any context whatsoever...
I just want to say that modern dentistry is a fucking joke. (So is the rest of the medical industry.) We are still in the dark ages in so many ways.

you had a bad cut of meat / improperly cooked it. get a proper filet mignon or some flank steak sous vide and you don't have any of the issues you're talkin about. i had some sous vide flank the other night and it was so fucking good.
you might think a savory meatshake would be good, but it is unnatural and nauseating.

When I first saw this thread the other day I honestly had to think for a minute.
I wondered if "meatshakes" were related to "meat sweats". I blame my sister for having to watch Friends while I was sick on the couch that one time.

But a nice pureed beef and broth, with some whole baby peas and little diced carrot pieces mixed in CANNOT be bad. It would taste great for sure. As for it being unnatural... Man, again, I hear you. I really do. But I think at a certain point, people gotta do what's best for their bodies, and we all have different issues. And I think the body knows what it needs, within reason. If it's telling you it needs cotton candy and Twinkies or something, it's obviously wrong, LOL! Eat a banana. In a lot of cases though, I think the body is right when it offers 'suggestions'.

I mean just imagine that with some nice soft baby peas and lil diced carrots in it. That shit would be dope AF. It's like soup only thicker. I swear I gotta get around to trying this out. I'm GONNA do it.

Meat isn't the only offender though...
Popcorn, one my favorite snacks, is basically a no-go. Doesn't mean I don't still eat it sometimes, but instead of just getting stuck in my teeth, it gets stuck in my tonsils too... It's absolutely disgusting. I'm just so damn fucking repulsed by the idea of having this debris in my mouth and I would rather not eat the stuff than have to deal with it. There's no way I'm not eating meat... so I have to find a way to make it work for me. But my beloved popcorn, sigh. I just almost never eat it anymore. |
