I really do think she is.

For the past few months, YouTube has been going crazy over "I Dream of Jeannie" and they've been uploading a ton of great clips to the official channel...

They're uploading them under the guise of celebrating the show's 55th anniversary, but I think it is really because they want to give Barbara Eden (89) some love and good sendoff before she departs the earth plane.

It's nice. No doubt they've gained her some new fans from the younger generation just through the great thumbnails alone...

One of my all time favorite shows... I always wanted to be Jeannie.

Her bottle was so cool...

Soo much genie bottle rubbing attributed to Barbara Eden over the decades.

There was always a favorites battle between Jeannie and Samantha (Bewitched)...

The camps remain incredibly divided to this day.

I think an aversion to the Jeannie outfit was probably one of the main reasons some people preferred Samantha.

Both channels began uploading at the same time...

Bewitched currently has 11.9K subs, compared to I Dream of Jeannie's 9.89K subs.

When sorted by most popular video, Jeannie outdoes Samantha by almost 200K views.

However, it's worthy to note that these are full episode uploads, and the Bewitched full episode selections are both holiday themed, while I Dream of Jeannie's full episode offering is the pilot of the series...

As far as regular videos, I Dream of Jeannie uploads appear to have at least 10K more views than Bewitched.

It's hard to say who is the general favorite by these stats, but the subscriber counts may be the most important thing to look at.

For example, I'm not subbed to Bewitched, but I am subbed to Jeannie.

Another possible reason for a Samantha preference could simply be variety... she had a lot of different outfits and whatnot. The show's premise was quite different from I Dream of Jeannie.

Was Elizabeth Montgomery stunningly beautiful? Without question. I loved Bewitched too. Just not as much as Jeannie, because I Dream of Jeannie sparked a lot more imagination than Bewitched did... it was more fun, colorful, and lighthearted.

I suppose it could be possible that people just preferred one face more than the other...

Could have to do with a preference in mannerisms, voices, personalities, etc. as well...

Samantha was a lot less "girlish" than Jeannie.

I also didn't like the whole "family" aspect of Bewitched... they had a kid on the show and I just never gave two shits about that aspect of the plot. It was a drag when the kid came along just like it is in real life. At least Jeannie didn't have kids on the show and we never had to deal with that type of plot... it would have been a lot less fun. It would have made things more serious, which is the antithesis of Jeannie.

I did really like Endora...

Although Endora was a regular, as far as devious characters, I prefer Jeannie's evil sister even if she was only in a few episodes...

I would have loved to see her pubes, to see if they were oh so white.
I doubt it though. Some fake pics online supposedly showing her muff.
Doubtful they were real cos she was a classy woman.

Supposedly this is Barbara Eden pre-nose job in the 50s...

I don't like that plastic surgery stuff...

But if it's really her, it's probably the best nose job ever and most successful cultivation of someone's looks ever.

I seriously agree.
Born in the 80's and watching cable tv,
i could never pass " I dream of Jeannie."
she was the first women i became infatuated with,
some men it's their mothers,
but for me is was "Jeannie"

even though at the time,
I remember being so amazed at her,
but couldn't put my finger to it.
now i get it.

That's awesome, thanks for sharing...

Yeah they say men want women who are like their mothers, and women want men who are like their fathers.

I think the popularity of Olivia Newton John back in the day goes to prove that men are looking for their mothers in a woman. Now of course not everyone's mom looked like ONJ but... I think she just has very mom-like vibes.
