I've always wondered how old you are Stud, I was gonna place you around 45 but I guess that's not quite old enough to have been married for 33 years.

Off topic, but does YouTube ever give your music channels any trouble with copyright?

I feel like fan made music videos etc. are a foundation of YouTube and are probably the oldest phenomenon on the platform. If they start banning off these channels with fan music vids dating back to ~2006, it's over.

I've noticed people's music vid channels get shut down for copyright and then someone will reupload the same (usually bad audio quality) video like they saved it locally.

People have preferred some of those fan uploaded videos to the 'official' band channels that started putting all the music up around 2015, even though the sound quality wasn't as good, they still preferred that old school homemade video upload. I dunno, I find it interesting.

It's all rooted in nostalgia I guess, but it's something I've experienced too.

I'm sure there's been a psychological study done on it at this point lol.

The internet is a giant social experiment and I have zero doubt about it. I know it to be true.

So here's an example...

That video was uploaded less than a year ago, and it's a straight re-upload of a pre-2010s fan made video that was ultimately removed for copyright (I assume).

The thing is, for probably 10 years (maybe more), anyone who wanted to hear that song went on YouTube and enjoyed that specific video, with that specific picture. The photo, just a still, single photo, became associated with the song itself, and the experience of listening to it.

I love that nostalgic vibe, it's something that is natural in humanity... we make associations, we develop a fondness, and it all becomes tied together.

My only request is that people make improvements to the quality while preserving that original concept/experience as well as possible...

This way, the quality can keep up with the changing/improving tech, and the video/song can be enjoyed for longer as a result. Well, as long as YouTube doesn't copyright block everything out of existence.

Whoooaaaa...

Holy shit.

See I've suspected it's possible to get your channel removed just for making wrong-think comments, but I've never heard anybody confirm it before.

Do you use any YouTube alternative sites like BitChute or Rumble??

I've tried to, but I just can't get into it... it's just not the same.

Too bad nothing lasts forever... YouTube really had it going on back in the days when their slogan was still "Broadcast Yourself."

Yeah it's kinda surprising that it happened with something involving Jeffree Star though. He actually lets most shit slide... I remember him from the 2005 MySpace days.

Scorpio and Capricorn are one of the most compatible and are a sign combo most likely to stay together for the longest. I'm impressed that you know this!
