Anybody else re-use aluminum foil??

Thumbs Up
OF COURSE I don't reuse it if it's like monumentally dirty or something.

But if it's just been covering something that isn't super greasy, or if it just has some condensation on it...

I wipe it off, fold it neatly, and store it for later use.

Reused aluminum foil is only fit for certain applications, I wouldn't use it like I'd use a new piece.

But they come in handy and if I don't have a few folded pieces of re-used foil waiting for me in my cabinets, it makes me feel some type of way.

Side note, I actually started using parchment paper instead of aluminum foil when I'm baking.

Parchment paper is good up to 450 degrees (I never go that high though) and it's sooo much better than aluminum foil.

Kinda embarrassed that I used foil in the oven for so many years...

Definitely.

"They" claim it's not dangerous to bake with foil, but you know it is.

I reuse ziplock bags too...

The only time I don't reuse them is if they stored something acidic/staining (like tomato) or if they stored raw meat.

I wash them just like a dish and dry them out with a towel, then put them over top of something (like an empty paper towel holder) to dry the rest of the way overnight.

I love those ziplock bags yo...

I keep reusing them til they're years old and start to deteriorate...

Ziplocks and other plastic bags eventually get all weird and cloudy and develop this almost kinda greasy texture...

Actually if you ball it up, it's good for scrubbing a cast iron skillet

Yeah I have used it to scrub pans before, it helps save on the green scrub pads. If you're throwing the foil away, why not make sure it's adequately served a purpose.

I save paper towels too.

If they're not dirty but they have a dirty edge or something, I just tear it off.

My favorite are the ones you dry your hands with...

Perfect candidates.

I have a stack right here.

I like to smear boogers in my pocket.

It's really convenient and I only use the one I never put anything else in.

My favorite boogers to handle are the mostly dry ones, they have a nice crusty edge that makes them easy to pick in one fell swoop.

But I just thought of something? In your boogers are things you breathe in?
Like if someone farts technically biologically you have inhaled their fecal matter.
And dust with toxins in it?
So boogers could have someone elses disease in them?
So im not recycling tissues no more now.

Yeah, boogers are the mechanism for capturing waste from the outside world and preventing it from getting inside your body.
