Positions of the planets in proximity to the sun, at scale...

What the sun looks like from other planets...

This is a hot planet.
I've talked about this before, but I think the proximity to the sun is the reason lifeforms don't live all that long here.
Anyways, as I was looking at these pictures and thinking about it lastnight, I realized that there is a reason we are this close to the sun.
Being this close to the sun, and considering the fact that life like us doesn't exist on the planets that are even closer...
We have a responsibility to the sun.
There's a responsibility for us to pay close attention to it.
I'm not saying we should worship the sun...
But I think we should be doing something pretty close to worshipping it.
Maybe a little further from the sun is what made those people in the Bible live to a thousand years , maybe somehow also explains the ice ages

The radiation shielding provided by the Earth's magnetic field is the reason anything can live here for as long as it does.
The limit on a human lifespan is supposedly determined by a sort of genetic counter. When it counts down to zero, you die - assuming something else doesn't kill you first.

Nothing actually dies though it just changes form.
You are one hell of a smarty panties though lady.

A lot of people in the Old Testament lived for hundreds of years. Most people interpret Genesis 6:3 as saying God got tired of Man's shenanigans and decided to place an upper limit of 120 years on an individual human's longevity. (Bible scholars say God is actually talking about how much time Man had left before the great flood.)
The oldest person I've heard of in modern times lived to be 123 years old, and may still be alive. Maybe 120ish really is the natural limit. That said, I've seen several videos in my feed claiming science has figured out how to halt ageing.
I personally don't want to live that long. People are shitty, society is shitty, and mankind will never create a utopia on earth full of happiness and joy. I do not intend to be advertised to for eternity. I'll take my chances on whatever lies on the other side.

Yeah, I agree Dev...
If we could live in an optimal physical condition for like 20 years longer, maybe it'd be fine to live to 120 or something.
But it's like past 65, meh...
I dunno, it doesn't look fun.

The aches and pains and all that crazy shit...
Seems like it'd be better to just have an active full life, try our best to have adventures etc., and bow out when the body gets too decayed to be comfortable anymore.

Seriously, look how close we are to it...
That video doesn't even do the scale justice.
We're a TINY planet, RIGHT THE FUCK UP ON IT.
We're RIGHT UP ON IT BRO.
Like...
Do you understand how significant that kind of proximity is??
Our ENTIRE LIVES are ABOUT and BECAUSE OF the sun.
Period.
Fricken period.
Point blank, bottom line.

If you're THAT CLOSE to the sun...
Your purpose is the sun.
Period.
That's it.
That's all.
What does that mean??
Fuck if I know.
Not really sure what we're supposed to DO necessarily.
But I can almost guarantee the way we live in these modern times is prettymuch the antithesis of our purpose.
We live in climate controlled boxes most of the time, and we slather ourselves in sunblock when we do go outside.
(I've personally never really used sunblock, but most sheeple do, especially women.)
No wonder everyone's sick and dying.
For real.
Obesity, diabetes, heart disease, lack of vitamin D...
It all adds up to DEATH, muhfucka.
DEATTTTHHHHHH.
Period.
Point blank.
Bottom line.
People wouldn't be as fat if they were in the sun more often.
FOR REAL.
THINK ABOUT IT.
How often do you see a sun tanned fat person???
FUCKING NEVERRRRR, THAT'S HOW OFTEN.
