She was on the phone with her mom and her mom's BF when she was getting out and talking to the kid... they didn't hear the kid respond at any point in time, but they heard Carlee scream. I guess that's when the traffickers jumped out of the bushes and attacked her.
People are all confounded that they didn't steal her phone or any of her other belongings. Of course they didn't, they have no use for that shit. They don't want to risk being tracked by her phone. They're not after some petty theft bullshit, they're after major cash for her organs. My God people are so dumb.

Supposedly she literally just showed up at her parents' house earlier tonight and they took her to the hospital for evaluation. What a weird fucking story. Some people have been saying this is like some shit out of Missing411 where the person shows back up again but doesn't remember where they've been. I thought that was pretty dumb when I first heard it but I dunno. This is a weird story for sure. I guess I will settle on being less pissed at Steve because he never believed there was ever a kid on the side of the road in the first place. Maybe he was right but... what happened? I won't speculate for the moment, but I do have a theory. I definitely figured she was dead for sure though.

People are trying to say maybe she had a mental breakdown or maybe drugs were involved... I seriously fucking doubt it.
They said she called and told her family she was "staying at" a Red Roof Inn. Why would she randomly pull her car over on the side of the highway and end up at a hotel?? She doesn't fit the profile of the irresponsible type.
Come on. Was she taken to the Red Roof Inn by captors? This story is suspicious as fuck.
They wouldn't have taken her to the hospital if everything was hunky dory and she'd just come home from a fun time out and it was all a misunderstanding.

People are being so quick to assume a bunch of awful shit about this woman's disappearance, like she faked it for attention or she was on drugs or whatever...
It's really just totally wrong. Like yeah, I assumed the worst in that I figured she was just straight up dead. But I never would have figured she was just faking/hoaxing for some attention. I'm not saying it's out of the realm of possibility, stranger things have happened.
But when she showed up at home "in shock" according to sources and they took her to the hospital, to me that suggests at the least she had some kind of mental break. It's not her fault if she's mentally ill. I dunno, I am just kind of grossed out by how cruel the internet is being about this story. Wonder if there will ever be an update on what actually happened?? I feel like it's 50/50.

I'm not convinced she didn't get taken off to a hotel and trafficked and then just managed to escape somehow. They take trafficking victims to hotels and pimp them out from there all the time. They'll get two rooms beside each other, one is used for prostitution and the other one is where they keep all the rest of the captives, and the captors stay in there and monitor them and the johns. I dunno, I just don't think the trafficking angle is automatically dismissed just because she showed up at her house.
Maybe it was all a hoax, but I think that's assuming a lot. Supposedly she'd picked up dinner and was on her way home, saw a toddler on the highway, called 911, doubled back to get another look, called a family member, and then she pulled over and just left her car on the side of the road with the hazards on. Come on, that is not normal at all. If she had wanted to hoax her disappearance, I doubt she'd have put the car and her other belongs at risk. And if she wanted to disappear, why the fuck would she call her family from a hotel? Strange story.

TBH... the fact that she's a NURSE doesn't play in her favor for me, considering all the insane warped stories there have been in the past about nurses killing people and all kinds of stuff. Those are some of the most famous true crime cases of all time, mostly everyone's heard about at least one of them. If indeed she did make it up and she's a psycho... maybe this whole thing will stop her from being able to do WORSE things in the future cuz people will know. But... lol. Doubtful. She will probably be allowed to be a nurse and there probably won't be any repercussions for her.
