Maybe that explains why I looooooooved Tetris as a kid, lol!

It's crazy that they've done full on STUDIES about this shit...

TETRIS, YO.

https://www.ox.ac.uk/news/2017-03-28-tet...s-symptoms

Dude I played Tetris out the wazoo as a kid and even above Shinobi, it's the one classic video game from my youth that I miss the most and really start jonesing for mega hard if I don't have it.

And the bitch of it is, I grew up on Gameboy Tetris, so that pure black and white, uncomplicated, non-flashy beauty is not accessible anymore cuz Gameboys really ain't around now.

I need some straight up black and white fucking Tetris.

Oh wow...

https://tetris.com/play-tetris

So TETRIS ITSELF offers a play online version.

I swear this didn't exist even like a few years ago or whenever the last time I went looking to play Tetris online was.

That's crrraaazzzzyyy.

I wanna play a super basic black and white version with none of the tracer things at the bottom that let you preview the piece in place...

They didn't have none of that shit when I was a kid and I don't want it now.

Oh damn...

This shit right here fits the bill.

Just straight up black and white, no frills.

It's perfect.

The options for Tetris online are SOOOO much better than the last time I looked.

This version of Shinobi is pretty fucking killer once you get the controls down.

I play Clash Royale on mobile. It is a pretty basic game. I used to play a ton of N64, and also PC strategy games like Warcraft and stuff.

I love WoW. Don't get me started.

Tetris, Shinobi, racing/driving games, GTA, WoW...

Those are the holy grail games that I love and I don't really care about anything else.

When it comes to games, I basically never play 'em. But when I do, I'm sure the fuck not looking for anything new.

And Age of Empires.

I remember Wow. I knew some people who game tested for Blizzard. I was more into online first person shooters at that point.

I guess WoW can be considered a "classic" game at this point TBH, especially for younger folks.

But in my opinion, "classic" is like 1970s through the mid-1990s.

WoW is definitely too new to be considered "classic" IMO and really...

The fucking shit is timeless.

What they created there is its own world.

Period.

The only reason I don't include it in my "foundational" games is because it's so large... at least for right now. Eventually it'll be able to run on a handheld kinda dealio lol, but that's a bit into the future. At that point, it'll be classic for real.

At this point in my life, I wouldn't take the time to learn a new game.

And WoW is the reason for that shit.

The amount of time I spent playing WoW between like 2009 and 2016...

No. Just no. I used up my lifetime game playing allotment on that.

Was it worth it? Fuck yes. Lol. Fuck yes it was.

Yeah, IDK about retro, it's a modern game.

There's some fun retro style games, and newer flash games for PC.

It is rare for me to get into a game though. I just don't have the patience for it anymore. But I like Clash Royale a lot.

Yeah, same here. I got so into those style of online games, that I finally just go bored of video games in general.

Put it to you this way...

I fucking HOPE I never find a new game that I actually WANNA play, and actually continue to play past the initial like first few days that I spend playing it.

I hope it never happens because I have NOOOOOOOO self control.

Also to keep it real...

The cost of playing WoW is the main reason I don't play it anymore.

I am not paying for that shit. I'm sorry, they should be paying me, not the other way around.

The great thing about games on handheld consoles is that you buy the game, pop it in, and you never pay for that shit again. It's a one time thing.

I forgot about Pokemon.

I will admit I do love Pokemon, but I think the reason I forgot about is because I only play it on the Nintendo DS/3DS and I rarely get those out of storage and play with them so... that means I never play Pokemon.

They are great games though.
