Tetris: Greatest video game ever and here's why...

My rule is that it has to be colorful and cute on some level. Obviously this doesn't apply to those "classic" games like Tetris that I literally prefer in black and white. Anything else though... gotta be lush with beautiful color schemes and/or cute to the max.

Hyper-realistic looking game worlds that look like other planets... that doesn't really appeal to me, TBH.

I don't mind the graphics looking dated as long as they fit my other criteria.

This is why a lot of new games would never even begin to catch my attention.

I didn't know Tetris even could be "won"... that's wild man. I never even thought about "winning" the game. I just figured it went on forever. That's one of the reasons I love it so much.

1:36 wow this Henk Rogers developer guy looks like a god in the flesh, lol. You can tell he's so proud of this kid. Wow, this is heartwarming as fuck.

And the fact that his dad died shortly before he "won" Tetris... I mean, playing it during that time technically would help him process the loss. Pretty damn amazing.

Oh and I also forgot that digital pets like Digimon and Tamagotchi are some of my favorite games too. Also love the fact that they're just black pixels rather than a bunch of flashy colors.

Played this last night after trying to read about Theodicy... 
I forgot about how Tetris can get stuck in your like a song, but not annoying.
It's been awhile but I've only ever played the actual arcade game. This goodoldtetris site is great on a phone though.

The "I" or straight block is a "Bishop".

The "Z" / "S" block is a "Pawn".

The "Handlebar" block is a "Rook".
