I wanna stop eating anything that results in sugar...

I've talked about this before, but I just keep coming back around to it.

Stuff like white bread has gotta be horrible for you, it just turns into straight up sugar and it sits on your teeth.

I hate the way anything sugary makes my teeth feel. I've gone back and forth about having milk and sugar in my coffee, and I recently cut it out again.

I really do prefer black coffee. STRONG black coffee.

Basically ANY straight up carbs are just bad. Pasta, bad.

I don't want any of it anymore.

There's no purpose in it. There's no reason to eat it. It's not nurturing your body unless you're starving and it's all you have.

I tried to eat candy lately, but it's just so unsatisfying.

Ideally, I think most meals would just be salad. Like a bitchin' Greek salad with the olives and the vinaigrette. Some peppers. And the Reeboks with the strap.

Like I dunno, I'm just over all this bullshit food that just turns into sugar.

The Mediterranean diet is probably the way to go...

"The Mediterranean Diet: Slay diabetes and live to be 100"
https://www.sectual.com/thread-18853.html

Mostly I just wanna quit all the back and forth and really COMMIT to a healthier way of eating.

I want to do it for so long that it's just second nature and I'd never even CONSIDER eating white bread and sugary stuff ever again.

I think it's fine to have some kind of snack every now and then, but generally... all of the carbs and excess sugar in general has gotta go.

Sugar feeds disease in the body. We get all the sugar we "need" anyway, especially since there's no escaping it nowadays. We'll never struggle to fill the sugar quota in this society. It's in EVERYTHING.

I bet you sugar is the NUMBER ONE source of disease in the western world.

Sugar is what is making everyone sick.

I just need DETERMINATION to not fall off the wagon and eat bullshit.

You're better off not eating much of anything than succumbing to all these processed foods.

This is my "anti-sugar rant" for 2025.

Fruit is great... but ideally you'd just eat berries or any other fruit that is very tart.

Most of what we eat should probably be greens. Then the other vegetables.

Then probably fish. Then fruit sparingly.

I also think some dairy products are okay though. Goat milk, feta cheese, stuff like that.

Just everything that has the LOWEST SUGAR CONTENT POSSIBLE.

It's a life or death kind of choice TBH.

Truly, that's what it comes down to.

It's so easy to go for convenient food when you're caught up in the moment, you're busy, you're stressed, whatever.

But it's killing us for sure.

I used to eat a lot of baked beans (for fiber) but the sugar content in those is way outta hand.

Time to just eat plain beans, kidney beans, black beans etc. Salt and pepper and that's it.

Cuz I am not trying to go all purist and eat nothing but bland food here either.

Sodium is also a concern, but you can't convince me it's anywhere near the danger of sugar.

And even the way sodium kills you is preferable to the way sugar kills you.

Straight up. Think about it.

Pretty sure high sodium causes heart attacks and stuff. Meanwhile all the sugar is causing a long drawn out death from diabetes related complications.

One of these ways to die is clearly better than the other. I'll take a heart attack any day of the week.

That said, it's not just heart attacks that are the concern with high sodium, it's cardiovascular disease in general (which I definitely have).

Look, I mean clearly there is no 'good' way to die.

But some are slightly better than others, and I think sugar kills you the bad way.

Just found this out...

Quote:Sweet potatoes have a lower glycemic index (GI) than white potatoes, meaning they have a smaller impact on blood sugar levels. They are also a good source of fiber, which helps regulate blood sugar.

This is good news for me cuz I love sweet potatoes.

You are what you eat, Fanny.

Eat lots of fatty fish, ham/pork, beef rump, and chicken breasts.

Cheap Charlie Chronicles eats high carb, and high sugar diet. He does not listen to the fake news coming from the medical establishment saying sugar is bad for you. It is funny to see him defend eating pastries, snickers and sugar on his streams. But I agree with him.

Okay, I looked him up.

I'd ballpark his age at 50 or so.

It's all fun and games until you start getting older...

Maybe he leads an active enough life to offset the issues excess sugar can cause.

Like if you walked EVERYWHERE (like so many populations abroad tend to) and it was hot and you were sweating a lot, then eating some sugar would be no issue most likely.

That said, he doesn't look like the most fit guy ever.

I'm gonna say he's just gotten lucky not to drop dead yet, but if he's still under 55...

RIP.

They start dropping like flies around that age.

Sugar and coffee are his addictions. He did give up alcohol five years ago. He is getting overweight in recent years.

Well, I may not know the guy, but I'm proud of him for that.

Anybody who's overly dependent on alcohol and they're actually able to kick that habit deserves an award.

Lastnight I was just thinking (after the alco-HAUL, lol) about how lucky I am that I DON'T struggle with alcohol addiction.

I brought all that stuff home, put some in the fridge, put the rest in storage, and I didn't even touch it.

I was thinking about how somebody who really does struggle with alcohol would have at least drank some.

Like Unstoppable Morgan and how hard she struggled with alcohol and how it fucked her life up for long periods of time...

But she kicked it, and that's powerful. Anybody who can do that is powerful.
