it's a solar minimum thing. same thing happened 100 years ago, and 100 years ago before that. that circa 1810 timeframe is a doozy. from my current batch of research, north america was physically much different prior to 1820. i've been watchin this guy's videos about it. he's pretty rough around the edges, but he's on to something big here.
