What is the deal with birds?

The way they fly in formation and act together as if they're one mind?

And what's with their weird songs?

WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN!?!?!?!

Have you ever heard a massive flock of birds hanging out in a tree or a yard? The sounds become otherworldly. IT MEANS SOMETHING. IT'S DIFFERENT FROM EVERYTHING ELSE!!!!!

Why do the birds always sing the same thing? THEY ALWAYS START SINGING RIGHT AT A CERTAIN TIME AND IT'S ALWAYS THE SAME SONG. EXACTLY THE SAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! \

WHAT DOES IT MEAN?!?!?!?!?!?!!>>!!

Not only do the specific kinds of birds start singing at the same time, they also STOP singing at the same time. Certain birds sing at certain times of the day under certain conditions.

But to who, what, and why???

I think that's the real question here.

They can't be signalling to each other because they're all already singing THE SAME SONG.

my dad was an avid birdwatcher and used to say that the song of the birds is more intricate than any human language. i think there are subtle differences in their calls that are only noticeable to them. it sounds like the same song to us but to them it is very different.

I'm gonna have to think about this, Cali.

In part, it satisfies me...

And in part, I am still incredibly suspicious.

I swear there's every kind of bird outside my fucking door right now...

I even hear a seagull. I don't live anywhere near the ocean.

What is this shit?

They're so loud too, like WTF.

Fucking wake me up every morning.

I'm listening to THE prettiest bird chirping ever right now...

It's sooo pretty and he's just out there singing it over and over again.

BE BE BUH BE BE BUH.

That's my best impression.

Still totally confused about birds.

sounds like this should be the start of a new webseries - 'malone with the birds' - just sitting, listening, mimicking calls, and discussing the thoughts that flow through the meditative state of bird watching/listening.
