I'll just go ahead and post this summary from another thread about the most serious and undiscussed reasons why tattoos are a bad idea...

If you get a tattoo of Jane's name on your arm, you can basically never exist in any timeline where Jane doesn't exist.

So when Jane dumps you and assfucks your heart, breaks it into 1000 shattered pieces and lights it on fire and then shits on the roasted bits of your heart...

You're trapped in the timelines where Jane existed.

Rather than being able to jump timelines to where the bitch didn't even exist and you were never even together, you're stuck in timelines where Jane and you have a past.

Bad fucking idea.

Apply that logic to anything you might get a tattoo about.

It's restrictive in a whole lot of ways.

I always wanted "Metallica" down the inside of one of my forearms but I'd get to thinking: "What if one of those guys goes way off the rails and commits a bunch of fucked up crimes, or even just one fucked up crime. Plus, I always thought people all tatted up looked dirty. Some chicks can pull it off if it's not overkill. Otherwise, why cover up all that beautiful pale skin?

Look at all the celebrities with careers spanning decades, throwing their fanbase under the bus saying basically fuck you if you don't hold the same political beliefs as we do. That's MESSED up.

You can't trust ANYTHING in the old-guard universe of celebrity... they are all tools, if not intentionally, then unintentionally.

I don't care if your skin is blemished all over the place, acne, freckles, sun damage, scars... people are the way they're supposed to be by nature. To mess with that is a grave act of disrespect.

Well you would know that trauma can start at the moment of conception so can be a hard thing to pinpoint. I am a dude who should be covered in tatts and even had them offered for free when I was young. My Dad's advice when I was young "Don't get Tattoos", priceless.

Well ive known a lot of dudes covered in tatts and ive found its usually either an obsession like an addiction or they are weak and think it makes them tough. But then there is cultural reasons like Maori's and Islanders.
