Sounds like they're not taking other things into account with this...
Like for example, why are these people lonely? Why are they socially isolated? Is it because they stay home all day and play video games? Well then they probably don't get enough exercise, which leads to health problems.
I mean...
What about the people who are happy to be alone?? Do they still have an increased risk of dying from heart related problems?? Doesn't sound likely.
Sure, if you're super sad about being alone and you just want to be with other people but can't for whatever reason...
Then I could understand that negative emotional state eventually taking a toll on the body. I'm a big believer that mental state and emotions are hugely tied into over all health.
