Why do people get a new domain name for every little thing they offer?

Huh
Am I missing something here?

Why don't you just have a central brand domain and then offer EVERYTHING from that domain?

Or a subdomain of that domain?

But an entirely new domain name for every offering?

Really?

The fuck am I missing here?

Seems like that approach would have a huge rate of failure.

It's just inefficient.

I view all these different domains as unprofessional.

I think it's unprofessional to use separate domains rather than just subdomains of your central brand domain.

i still don't understand why subdomains didn't get wildly popular. most places don't even charge ya for em anymore. i remember the best free hosts were the ones that gave you subdomains off their main domain as opposed to a forwardslash.

i can see why a company would want to snatch up a bunch of similar domains in order to prevent fraud and scams, but they should all redirect to the main domain.
