So lastnight on this thread I randomly posted this video of Blue Monday because it had been in my Recommended feed...

And I'll be a monkey's uncle if I haven't fallen MADLY in love with Bernard Sumner between then and now.
I mean the guy is soooooo sexy. This guy right here is my ARCHETYPE. He's like... THE ONE.
Seriously. I'm straight up wild for this guy, I mean look. Just look how sexy.
He's one of those dudes I get CRAAAZY over. Not too tall, not too short, meaty enough... wears those sexy plain t-shirts and the plain jeans that fit him real well. Has that short haircut, just looks generally unassuming, but every move he makes is like pure sex.
3:26 - 3:36 that's EXACTLY what I'm talking about... that's my kinda guy right there. Holy fuck. He's TOTALLY the archetype. He's THE archetype.
So I've just been watching all the live versions of Blue Monday.
And to be honest, spanning the decades, all the performances I've seen have actually been pretty great. To my surprise the newer performances were really just as great. Pretty incredible stuff, honestly, this guy's voice is top notch and he's never lost it.
This is my favorite one yet because he's sooo mad, LMFAO...
2:18 BAHAHAHA. 3:54 holy fuck LMFAAAOOO. Look how everybody reacted too... bandmates were like, "Oh so it's THAT kinda night."
Hoooly shit man, ROFL. God dang. I love it. I love this guy.
I sorta feel like this is another one of those bands that I prefer the live performances over the studio versions though... I've checked out some live versions of a few of their other songs, then compared to the studio version and it just wasn't as great. I like it when I find a band or artist who I feel sounds better live. It denotes true talent.

Here's a great example, I don't really dig the studio version of this song...
I'd rather hear this live version.
It's a great example of his type too...
Shows the clothes and all...
It LOOKS plain, but it's actually hard to come across this, you don't see it that often.
You don't see this sweetass archetype very often, it's elusive as fuck. So fucking elusive.
Oh Lord Jesus...
Why can't I have this? WHY?

He's OBSCENELY sexy.
1:37...
And I mean check it out, 1:46, you can tell he's fucking PACKING MAD DICK in those jeans, HOLY hell.
You can TELL.
God dang.
Come at me bro.
Come. The fuck. At me.
2:47 LOOK at how he's DRESSED.
LOOK at it.
Dear God.
Take me away.
Just take me away and put me at the feet of a man EXACTLY like that...
I want that archetype all up in me.
I've waited too long for this...
Give it to me now.

2:15 - 2:23 fuckin' hell.
2:38 that Hook guy fucking hates him though, BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
3:26 - 3:36 I find old tape so interesting because there are glitches that are the ENERGY effecting the tape itself. I've seen this happen on several videos. I need to start keeping a log of it because noting this on recordings more than once is pretty significant.
3:45 they are so totally high as FUUUUUUCK.
4:12 Hook's hate of Bernard is PALPABLE.
5:04 I think those rolled up sleeves are so hot.
6:00 ooo I dig that guitar improv.

You can tell the guy was feeling that shit waaay way hard.
If you look at the way his body is moving with the energy you can see it's beaming straight toward the recording equipment...
Kinda like the camera that SOHO uses to record the sun and whatnot... whenever a good CME blasts off and hits that shit it gets all static'y.

See, that first song for example... you're not gonna get that level of excellence on a studio recording. You're just not.

The issue with synth heavy music in studio recordings is the perfection.
Unless real instruments like the bass or guitar are used in such music, it's pure and utter shit (in my opinion).
There needs to be a certain level of organic imperfection in electronic music.
For example, The Cars... I think their music was total perfection, the studio recordings were great. They used real instruments in conjunction with synth and hit a sweet spot... some kind of magic formula that made their studio recordings superb.

So you can tell the difference in sound between a valve/tube amp as opposed to a tranny? I can. The thing is the studio recordings back then were all valve/tube. Not Computer. This is what I was trying to show you the other day with that chicks song, live vs studio.

19:07 yeah the studio recordings are just nothing compared to the live performances... totally fucking amazing.
22:10 - 22:15 "TURN THAT FUCKING AMP DOWN!" ROFLMAOLOL. Oh man. I love this guy, I fucking love this guy.
Dude it's weird I'm reading through these comments on this video and I see people saying New Order sucks live and their studio recordings are so much better. I'm EXACTLY the opposite on this. That's crazy! What the fuck are these commenters smoking? The studio recordings just don't have the atmosphere of these live recordings, I mean... the studio versions are their own entirely separate songs in my opinion. They're vaguely the same songs. That's how I feel about it. I very much prefer this live energy.

I have a longtime fantasy...
It involves having my own personal gang consisting only of dudes who look like this.
No taller than 5’9, light hair and eyes, short haircuts, white t-shirts, plain well fitting classic blue jeans...
Clones of each other basically.
There would be 5 of them, so in all there would be six of us.
We’d go and hang around in places just looking cool, weird, sexy, mysterious.
I envision us in a booth at a cafe, I’m sitting there with 3 of them, and the other two are standing over by the jukebox and the bar, just looking mildly obtuse and totally aloof...
We wouldn’t say much, if anything...
We’d just sit/stand around and communicate telepathically.

One day I shall comb the world over looking for my short meaty blonde haired plainly dressed men with quiet demeanors and attitude problems...
I’ll assemble a gang of my sexy mysterious men and we will travel all over, displaying ourselves by day at various locations. By night, we shall sleep in our converted schoolbus (painted white), a pile of pale naked bodies stacked atop of mine, crushing every fiber of my being to my delight.
