It totally was...
I looked it up after I saw a video post on Instagram of a deer riding the waves, and people were all pissed off about it demanding to know if the deer lived. LOL. So I decided to look it up and see how common a phenomenon deer in the ocean actually is. There are a handful of videos showing them in the ocean. They seem to like it. I just watched it again. It does appear to be a deer. In the ocean. It's a deer in the ocean.

It's having so much fun playing in the waves, I had no idea you might see...a deer in the ocean.
