Headline: "Former NASA astronaut: Private space travel clears way for 'things we can't even imagine'"
Here's the breakdown of the "things we can't even imagine" for those who don't have time to read the article (linked below regardless): 1. NASA has long wanted to "turn over" some of its work to private companies "so that it could help our economy." 2. increase access to space, which in turn could lead to innovation and new discoveries. "People can envision themselves going or what research they might do or what products they might develop or what they want to accomplish in space... Because now it's possible. It's going to let people be creative to come up with things we can't even imagine that can be done in space travel." 3. Uh... that's actually all. It's a really short article. It seems obvious, but I do like the acknowledgement of the collective consciousness and the power of thinking and believing as precursors to innovation. Dude is 100% correct. We are now at the precipice of a brave new world. Former NASA astronaut: Private space travel clears way for 'things we can't even imagine' (msn.com)

For some reason while reading this article, the lightbulb of realization went off: we really are going to colonize off-planet. I mean I've always known it as a concept and a potential, but now I realize it as fact.

They take for granted that we really will go to space, as if it's set in stone. I guess that's because it is.
