After a bone is broken, the area usually occasionally aches for the rest of your life

Hmmm
I wonder if it’s the same in instances like rhinoplasty when an osteotomy is performed and the bone is broken/cut??

Seems like it would be subject to the same residual ache.

Maybe it’s not the bone damage that cause the permanent occasional ache... maybe it’s damage to surrounding tissue or nerves.

Oh, that can kill...

Albeit very slowly.

Over the course of a life.

yeah its true , my femur break is 3 years old it aches all the time except when i am sitting , kind of a radiating ache from hip down to my foot

(the femur broke right in the middle and splintered inward as i fell from a roof and landed on a ladder ,lol) they put a titanium piece inside the femur from the hip to the knee too hold it all together

i still go up on ladders but there is a slight limp , a bit less mobility and it sucks tying my shoe on that foot

Thank you for weighing in on this, Guest.

I broke my toe once as a little kid and it still hurts whenever I am walking barefoot...

In most recent years, it's been known to have ungodly stabbing pain in it if I do something over the top crazy when I'm dancing or something.

That's what made me skeptical that it has anything to do with the bone itself, and rather it may be caused by torn ligaments or nerve damage or whatever else (no idea).

yeah i had my femur x rayed several times cuz i thought the pain was from it not being healed or whatever but it never shows anything they can see ... i think nerve damage is still very poorly understood . Surgeons just put shit back together make sure no infection and tell you to fuck off ,lol

i take 10mg cyclobenzaprine instead of advil seems to work better plus t3's maybe every 2nd day
