Rich is expressing a moment of doubt in the "lightworker mission" and is basically saying he sometimes wonders if there's any point to it and if anything will really change.

Rich posted a video on FB talking about how there's a spider problem around where they live and they go out at night and kill all the spiders they see hanging around outside.

Well I have a rule that I do not try to control outdoor populations of insects etc., it's just going too far. They're outside, it's nature, what the fuck do you expect? Of course they're gonna be out there.

And it's just hardcore stupid. It's immature behavior, grow up.

I go out of my way to save a spider life (and other insects) whenever possible. The only time I kill them is if they're in my bedroom, that's it. When you see one, it means there are like a dozen others just out of your sight. So when it's in the bedroom, it's different. Even then, I still apply some rules. If it's just ONE spider and it's in the opposite corner of the room, what do I care? You should never just go and kill spiders for no reason, especially if they aren't even in your friggen house.

Spiders are *amazing*... I opened a door for a spider once. He was crawling across the ceiling, then made it over to the door frame and I could tell it was the route that he frequents, and he was gonna have to crawl down the door frame to the floor in order to get underneath. So I opened the door for him and he knew exactly WTF I was doing... he happily took the shortcut.

They're not just mindless creatures out to get you. Most of them aren't even poisonous in the USA... so why the fuck would you kill them? Stop being a pussy. I save the poisonous ones too. Get over yourselves.

I'm proud of Rich for coming out and discussing his overuse of kratom. I'm glad he clarified how much of it you have to take in order to become dependent on it. Dependency really does require a huge amount. Generally kratom is pretty safe.

I don't think people should be taking any type of substances in general... there's always some type of emotional (or otherwise) imbalance that is indicated by using substances. Best to get to the root of the issue rather than try to cover it up.

That said, I think Rich should just kick it with cannabis if he finds that he needs something to take the edge off in the future. Maybe he already does. I think cannabis is the ultimate safe plant medicine. You can eat it, smoke it, vape it. Different people are going to benefit from different approaches. It just depends on the person.

Laziness and lack of motivation gets wrongly associated with cannabis use. It's a BS stigma. It can be very energizing and motivating. It's natural, we have cannabinoid receptors, we were meant to coexist with this plant medicine. Somebody may not need it or want it... but if you have a need for it, it's nature's gift to you, without any risk of dependency.
