Well, the thing about Cortez is she knows her base. Her base is not a very intelligent group overall. It’s been my observation that people think of a person with 10 IQ points higher than them as really smart. Much beyond this there’s not much of an added bonus and may even in some cases be seen as negative (“Intellectual Morons” as Daniel J. Flynn would put it). People severely beneath our level of IQ lack the discriminatory power to distinguish a really smart proposal from a brilliant one. What I’m saying is she ran as an average person to a group of stupid people. There are some indications it was all an act. Which may turn out really unfortunate for us because we needed someone like her to be the face of the Democrats.
