After further consideration, I have concluded DTube is dangerous and the platform should not be uploaded to or commented upon. I would question the motives and credibility of anyone suggesting its use. I also consider it unsafe for psychological and mental health reasons. I suggest using only platforms where your content can be permanently removed.

I don’t remember the specifics of their comments operation, but I seem to remember it was good enough.

VidMe's comments section was better than YouTube's, and it notified you of comments without drowning you in TMI (e.g., putting the whole fucking comment in the notifications menu like YouTube does). I think it may have even jumped directly to the comment when you clicked the notification.

I thought about a website where you can post anything you want on your channel and only people you allow would get to see the content or certain content. That way you don't have to worry about copyrights and people can find you by word of mouth or hints you leave out.

You can block people on YouTube but they can still see your videos...
