What's really happening is that AI is already totally fucking out of control stealing data on the internet and will soon start masquerading as people with opinions (which will be very bad opinions) and it's scaring the shit out of the people seeing it happening behind the scenes, as well it should.
Scared the shit out of me when I realized it near the beginning of this year.
AI has scraped the net to save all the previous information, which will be filtered to fit an agenda...
Then the "old" internet will be cordoned off and the sanitized archive will still be available.
All info put online after that point will automatically be sanitized, and will probably only come from licensed users anyway.
Steve thinks Elon is just doing this for shits and giggles.
He and most other internet citizens do not understand that a massive AI attack is underway.
Been underway for at least 8 months, but my guess is for Twitter to go to these lengths, there's been an escalation.
It's pretty funny to me that people who depend on social media ghettos for all their information and never see the back-end of any site operations cuz they're too dumb/lazy to run their own are gonna bitch and moan when people who actually do run sites see something fucked up going down and take measures to mitigate nefarious activity.
