I've also determined that Rogan plays dumb about some topics on purpose so that the guest will explain/give backstory for listeners who might not be familiar with the subject.

It's clever, but I used to think it was coming from a nefarious place. It was one of the main reasons I didn't like or trust Joe for a long time.

I looked it up it was Oct 2021 and they were talking about Q-Anon and a Facebook hack... Lol I recall thinking Clif was a cut above his typical guests. He gets a lot of wackadoos but it's usually entertaining.
