This is the shit YouTube started flooding my recommendations with after I purged my subscriptions list last week. If you don't voluntarily create an echo chamber for yourself, it seems YouTube will happily provide you with one. The default echo chamber on corporate social media sites is always left-wing, of course.

Why now? If their goal is to influence the election, it doesn't make sense to start this after the election. (Although one of the other channels listed below started two months ago.) They must fear something big is about to be revealed, and want to divert attention from it.

Here's another one, this time in Vietnam. "Breaking News Today TV" joined in December 2017, lay dormant for a year, suddenly started uploading anti-Trump videos a week ago.

And then there's "Political News Networks," which has almost the same banner image as the previous channel. No country of origin given on the channel's "about" page. I considered the possibility that they're dead accounts that were hijacked, but they don't necessarily have to be.

Most of them appear to be in Asia. If they're sleepers, the Chinese government may be behind it. American leftists have neither the patience nor the foresight to plant a sleeper account that far in advance. It's definitely someone who knows how to play the long game -- something the Chinese are good at.
