The Bold and the Beautiful is actually new as far as soap operas go. Some of them have been running since the 1950s. Some were even on the radio before TV.


In the early 80s, there was a General Hospital craze centered around the Luke and Laura saga. They were America's favorite TV couple for awhile. Rick Springfield played a doctor on there at around the same time.

SOME actors really are truly gifted and can play diverse roles...
