If they only knew their fate they would wish they were never born.
Maybe them thar aliens give them a more freeing experience, rather than being on a leash.
Maybe if the mothers-to-be were better prepared for the love childs then the aliens would be more lenient and give them a baby on a trial basis? Until they learn to let go better?
The aliens know that mother-child attachment has serious repercussions for the strength of humanity. There needs to be a clear and concise cut-off point to severe the emotional bonds.
