I am not afraid to admit when a bitch is a hot piece of ass.
It doesn't really happen all that often though.

Alright, it's time to talk about Aaliyah Dana Haughton...

Man they better get to work on releasing that too.

They're all demos, but that one sounds fire for being a demo. I haven't listened to any of the other ones yet.

I cried.

Aaliyah's CD is apparently not in stock, so maybe the original prints are gone now and they're printing up a new batch. I should get another one for quality control purposes.

There have only been like 3 reviews on Amazon since the release... if the whole first batch was fucked up, you'd think somebody would have gotten on there and said something.
Weird that there aren't more new reviews.

Ultimate Aaliyah was originally 2 audio CDs and one DVD...
https://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Aaliyah/dp/B09BPMRVNM If that's still the case with this re-release, it'd be worth getting. But if it doesn't have the DVD (they don't make that clear on the description), then I think the "I Care 4 U" re-release is a better choice... https://www.amazon.com/I-Care-4-U-Aaliyah/dp/B09BPMSTCV Mostly because it has "Erica Kane" on it, which is a fucking bomb song. It also has the best songs from the OG "One in a Million" album... https://www.amazon.com/One-Million-Aaliy...B09BPYLRGP If you're an Aaliyah fan, it's probably a good idea to get them all even though I'm personally gonna wait til after it's all released in October and we can see whether or not the tracklistings are the same, if the 'Ultimate' still comes with the DVD, etc. The only "fail safe" one to get right now is the eponymous album, which in my opinion is the best and most iconic by far anyway. They need to release "The Red Sessions" because that collection of demos is fucking fire... but I dunno if anybody's really got the right to release that. Not really sure how that would even be done.

The 2004 release was the best...
https://www.ebay.com/itm/255058374309?ha...SwsGpg9FjJ Literally ONE on eBay. Damn I wish I still had mine. It also had Erica Kane on it which is the only reason I still have an MP3 of that song in my archives, it's really not even on YouTube. In my opinion they should have released the original eponymous album, this 2004 edition, and they should find a way to release the Red Sessions. That's 100% iconic shit right there... It doesn't get any more iconic than ALL the songs on those CDs, the photos/cover (front and back), the whole thing.

If anybody had known it'd be like 20 fuckin' years before her CDs were even in print again (or available to stream), nobody would have parted ways with their copies.

This 2002 review of the eponymous album cracks me up, but it's also a great example of how nobody saw the unavailability of her music coming. It's also just amazing how damn wrong they were... https://imgur.com/a/bDpALiN Makes me think about all the things I must be wrong about. But yeah, not 10 years later... 20 years later, and the tracks are better than ever and hotter than fire.

Like yeah, okay, I'm obsessed, I admit it.
I always have been. I've disowned family members for shit-talking Aaliyah... They had it coming anyways, but sometimes the last straw is the last straw.

I always thought this cartoon version of her was pretty badass but I also thought it was weird that they made her boobs so big. I'd have been offended.

The lyrics are pretty intense knowing how long they had her music locked down... It's a brilliant animation and well done edit of the song to fit the piece.

All the visualizers on the channel are actually totally epic...
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4dkEmN...0rQ/videos I'm not usually into visualizer videos, but whoever makes these is doing great work and you can see they care a lot about this... I get that her estate is salty over these re-releases, but all the love in these visuals is pretty undeniable.

Apparently this was a 2001 Japanime album promo for the tour they were gonna do...
Pretty interesting. Supposedly they were planning a whole animated series with that character back in the day.
