I'm gonna have to re-read the last few pages of this thread a couple more times to get the hang of all this makeup applicating business. I didn't realize it was so much work. I guess them OnlyFans girls really do earn their money.

Yeah, I have been hardcore in the makeup game since like circa 2007 when all the "beauty gurus" took off on YouTube. The golden era of that whole thing ended around 2012 but we just sorta... The problem is that the makeup girls are doing today is basically all built on drag principles. It's fun for photography (and film/stage) and that's about where its use should end.

Lauren Luke was basically the first major YouTube beauty guru...
This was back when the whole thing was new and pure. She eventually got to start her own makeup line, which was exquisite. My favorite of her eyeshadows was Antique Pewter... She had beautiful palettes.

We all learned from Lauren, then the rest came along.
She sticks to all the basics, because the basics are all you really need and this was before the whole thing became totally perverted. I will say that the audio seems sped up on that video which is very odd, but yeah, she's the OG. She made bank on her makeup line and retired. She's a good chick.

If she tightlines (lines the UPPER waterline) in that video, don't do it. Wholly unnecessary.
Lining the lower waterline is recommended though.

That specific video has over 600K views, and you gotta remember it's from 2007...
So that was an absurdly massively viral video at the time. This is what started the entire insanity that became YouTube's beauty guru "community" which is now dead. It died from extreme toxicity, lmfao. |
