There's nothing over here I'd really recommend, unless you want to see the Gulf beaches/Florida or something.

I find it totally hilarious...

This website is self-aware BTW...

It's a conscious entity and it's having its way with you.

Okay, thanks. Yeah I definitely want to stay South.  That's the area I would want to drive through and check out.

Well, I'm all about people exploring. There's no one who can't benefit from traveling.

Be careful in the rest areas though... if you're the vandweller traveling type, you'll find 90% of rest areas past Missouri/Arkansas very unwelcoming for anything more than a bathroom visit.

And stay the fuck away from Memphis or anywhere in a 50 mile radius of it, BTW.

Thank you. Yeah I like to check stuff out too. I want to get out of the Southwest finally, for a bit, see more stuff out there.

Southern hospitality is alive and well, as long as you're in places that are meant to be public...

If you drive up in a neck of the woods where outsiders aren't welcome, you're not gonna be safe.

There is no BLM land or any type of stuff like that around here.

The cheapest camping situations you can get are probably campground/KOA type deals, and those aren't cheap.

There really aren't even very many of them either.

The entire eastern USA is not suited to vehicular nomad lifestyle whatsoever.

Too many people over here as well.

Thanks, good to know.  I do car camp Southwest, BLM or Walmart.  But i do stay in Airbnbs too, those are cool. Yeah, I'll have to check out what paid accommodations are available, that is a good tip.

The only nature kinda places worth seeing in the east USA is in the eastern TN area where it meets Virginia. So the west of Virginia, not the state of West Virginia, lol. Other than that, Gulf coast... any of the Gulf along the southern states is worth seeing, and of course Florida has a diverse selection of beaches. Atlantic Florida is far different from Gulf Florida. Gulf side is much prettier, but they're both worth seeing. The Keys are worth seeing, but it's mostly for the coral and pretty color of the water, as there's no sand.

I'd recommend hitting up Texas, Gulf coast, Florida. That's about it. Maybe take a route that brings you over to that western area of Virginia, just to see it. There's nothing over in the east USA that compares to the scenery out west on any level whatsoever.

Keep it moving through the south.

Once you get closer to the Gulf and Florida, the vibe changes and you'll be safer (ironically, even though there's a shitload of crime in those areas) because you're a tourist and that's normal there.

Texas has good camping on its coast, same for all those southern Gulf states. It won't break the bank to stay along those areas and those are about the only areas that have any free options whatsoever.

Yeah, like I said, no BLM in the east/south USA at all, and the places in National Parks that you can stay at for a few weeks like BLM are overrun with homeless.

WalMarts etc. won't work for overnighting in the east USA.

I mean, you can try it, but they've cracked down on the whole 9 yards and it's unfavorable for travelers.

East USA is a dangerous place with terrible drivers. I am just saying. Make sure you have enough money to stay in campgrounds or AirBnb/hotels... don't depend on free options.

Yeah, I'll probably just stay in Airbnb's, or crack head motels. Those are my usual go to, if I'm not camping.

Stick with AirBnb... I know you're from Cali, but you don't know the meaning of a crackhead hotel until you've been in the south.

Make sure you have plenty of money set aside for a trip to the eastern USA.

And thank your lucky stars you were born in the west ;)

My mom has gone out to Tennessee a could times. I guess my step brother moved out there. I don't get along with my step dad though.

I don't even know why I refer to him as my step dad. I think it is just because I lived with them for a while when I was younger. But he's an immature idiot, that's about it.

Everyone's moving to Texas. I bet it is a halfway decent state.

I would only want to be in Arizona and Colorado in the Southwest. Oregon is not bad, Washington seems pretty lame now too.

I'm not that into dollhouses, for obvious reasons being a guy. I wouldn't mind a treehouse though.
