Watching all these vids is fucking useless anyway.
THIS is what YouTube was created for!

It'll suck at first - I have a lot of music playlists that I really like but if they
wanna play hard ball - fuck 'em in the ear. They're not the only game in town.

It'd be a learning curve to unprogram myself from all the hardcore tard level of YouTube viewing that I've been accustomed to but oh my damn...
There'd be no other choice.
06-30-2023, 04:34 PM
It'd actually be for the best so I say bring it on.
Just like I wouldn't pay $8/mo for a blue check and the 'perks' on Twitter... I will not pay for a YouTube upgrade. Hell no. Just hell no.
06-30-2023, 04:34 PM
BUUUUUUUT...
I'd sooner pay for the Twitter, not gonna lie.
06-30-2023, 04:35 PM
The main draw to the Twitter sub is the length of videos you can upload.
They're trying to compete with YouTube in that regard. And now that this news has come out, I find it VERY interesting. Seems like Twitter had insider knowledge about YouTube's future plans.
06-30-2023, 04:37 PM
YouTube Premium = $12/mo.
Twitter Blue = $8/mo. The choice is obvious. Twitter will have more longterm success than YouTube from this point forward. So yeah... If I'mma pay, I'mma pay Twitter, although giving money to the richest man in the world makes me feel like a simp. It's okay though since his spike protein infested babybatter is useless now, so it's not like I want him anyway.
06-30-2023, 04:40 PM
I don't keep an Amazon Prime sub anymore, I don't do Netflix or any of that other stupid shit...
So I wouldn't feel all that bad for paying for Twitter so I could upload long form vids and type in more word thingies. I don't even use Twitter, but if YouTube is gonna put the final nail in their own coffin, then might as well jump on the most likely alternative to their platform, which shockingly seems to be Twitter.

When it comes to video hosting though, Twitter is not a good place to hedge your bets for the future since they're so ridiculously ban happy.
Gotta have a presence on BitChute and Rumble in that regard. I think exclusive content spread out across the platforms is probably a good approach.
06-30-2023, 04:45 PM
All that said...
I am not sure about the benefits of long form content (in video format) in this day and age anyways. Twitter regular is 2:20 vid length limit. I think it's best to just stick with the basic account, especially if your odds of being banned eventually are high. I think it may be better to make long form content in podcast (audio file only) format, and those files are small enough to host on one's own website/server. My motto is that shit better be free, cuz I ain't gonna cuck myself to you unless I really fucking like you, and that's rare. Right now I'm subbed to one person on Patreon, and it's because I think her content is massively worth it. I will not pay for anything I don't believe in on a SPIRITUAL level.
06-30-2023, 04:48 PM
That Patreon sub is my ONLY monthly content based subscription.
If these specific people I am pay subbed to were the only vids I even allowed myself to watch for reasons of principle, my time consuming content would be far better spent, and far less than it is now. So again... bring it, YouTube. That's fine. You're a shell of your former "Broadcast Yourself" anyway. It's about over for ya.

Colleen Ballinger basically used her child audience for ideas to post on Twitter (the ideas were brilliant, BTW), manipulated them with the dangling carrot of in-person hanging out and always bailed or was extremely rude when the time rolled around. She asked her children audience really inappropriate questions in her chat group (which was called "Weenies" and that is creepier than all out fuck from the jump) and she made fun of some of her most devoted albeit obsessed fans like it was all some kind of a joke, which is just so detestable. She even shit talked her ex-husband and shit-talked their sex life in those same group chats, and even in private DMs with children. She can't see anything she's ever done wrong. She has been very inappropriate with the kids on stage who attend her shows, who BTW were encouraged by Colleen to wear revealing clothes in order to up their chances of being invited on stage. Some of her skits are sickening. One of her skits was even making fun of apology videos, and in the skit she mockingly said, "I'm not the same person I was when I did those things! I've changed!" which is EXACTLY what she's said in her own apology videos about this whole scandal. Just psycho. Lastly, in her most recent apology video (the manic ukulele fiasco), she compared her inappropriate discussions with the kids in her audience group chat to "the weird aunt" who tries to be cool at family get-togethers. I found this particularly dismissive and it was a weak, manipulative attempt at UNDERPLAYING her behavior. Those kids did not view her as the "weird aunt" because you don't IDOLIZE your weird aunt. Those kids idolized her. Period. So yeah, fuck Colleen, and Miranda was never funny to begin with.

It's just nasty behavior.

Apparently they'd draw the tattoo with markers on their own wrists and make fun of her. Sad, despicable, and honestly just evil behavior egged on by a grownass adult woman who should have never been famous in the first place if we're being real.

Colleen makes that Blair bitch look like a fucking saint if you ask me.
06-30-2023, 05:09 PM
She even called herself a loser along with "weird aunt" as an attempt to manipulate people with self-deprecation and even though most of her victims couldn't really nail what was so wrong with it in their response videos to her... even they knew her pissweak psychological tactics were horse shit. The Colleen thing is wild, TBH. In her ukulele video, she said she didn't understand "boundaries" at the "beginning" of her career. Ho, you've been on YouTube as Miranda since 2008, and this shit happened in ~2019, you were on your last leg of popularity at that point, admitting Miranda was fucking old and tired. BEGINNING of your career? Pft, fuck you, fucking manipulator.

I still like YouTube. I'm really good at spotting inauthentic people and just click off those channels immediately, unless I like their content and can tolerate them while knowing they are inauthentic.
06-30-2023, 05:11 PM
I still see youtube as giving an audience to DIY channel creators.

The principle of NEVER talking privately with your fans is a hard one to grasp for these internet famous people because unlike old guard hollywood, they didn't have etiquette coaches. Common sense and learning the hard way can come into play with that whole thing. I only figured this part of shit out a couple years back, and it's important for people to understand, whether you're famous or not. For me, the NO PRIVATE DISCUSSION principle extends not just to people on the internet, but people in my personal life too. Basically, if you ain't family... you ain't getting a private response of any kind from me. That's just the way it is. You wanna talk to me, you're gonna be talking to me publicly. I got nothing to say in private.
