Seems like the longer the rap sheet [especially w/violent offenders]
the more chance there is for them to "act out". Cuz they KNOW they done
fucked up and are more than likely going back inside.

I know people. I knew when the commie virus hit I knew before it was going to occur.
But if we put the emphasis on rehabilitation instead of punishment, we save ourselves money and the community.
We stop the revolving door. If you look at the prison system in Finland for example just one country.
They have a very successful rate of non return prisoners.
The biggest reason for crime and addiction is boredom and poverty if you look at the data you can't deny it.

Mmmm, I think the first cop having to rouse him the second time may have been
enough to ignite probable-cause, at least in some cases. Given the context of him being
found passed-out in a drive-thru. But I'm not disagreeing with you. Really depends on
the cop and the area. His mouth [telling his life story] got him into sketchy waters.

That's what I'm saying. The cops were going out of their way to not have to arrest him. He wouldn't have felt compelling to run his mouth in the first place if he'd just parked his car.

Literally the opposite; the police need maxfunding like the military puts into the training of it's 
military/security police. Extensive background checks, multiple cross referenced psyche testing
and evaluation. Being an effective and stoic and calm enforcer isn't rocket science. 
Rough estimation based on average training, maybe around 65-80K spent on initial training for


Army Military Police (31B) consists of twenty weeks of training before they can play policeman. 
This training is effective with individuals of any iq about 90 as it's repetitious and practiced daily. 
Not a lot of bad guy catching stuff to do as an MP/SP. Most of the police work is done on bases
involving drugs and selling supplies. 

The average length of a "civilian" police academy is supposed to be 6 months, or 24 weeks. 
Also as a money making scheme, they prefer some sort of degree. Most study criminology but
don't learn shit about the law, just basic stuff like "don't break the law; we'll get to what the law
is later but until then-we do as we're told. 

Military police training is designed by high effective combat situations. I've watched war games fought
where Marine Corp Military Policemen have staged off the invasion of a seal team effectively. I've seen them
out numbered and surrounded by snipers in the hills, and attacking forces surround them and keeping them
suppressed and managed. 

They're usually all 90-107 iq. The effectiveness doesn't come in standardized intelligence but specialized
training. So, don't defund civilians; max fund them. This isn't about police though, lol. If it was though...simple
solution. 

Self governing peaceful citizens is a fun game.

If we're going to spend most of our money on military; it should be utilized. It's bleeding the economy and not
being used. People of all stances and belief systems have shown even in their best (which isn't a high percentage) 
that people are not capable of making the correct choices. 

Seems inevitable that someone sees this as a time for forced good choice making. 

It's not a bad thing; parents do it all the time.
