Trump Banned From Social Media, Should've Had His Own Website To Begin With

But yeah, I've been pointing out the folly of depending on a single website to preserve free speech. If everyone had their own website, Big Tech couldn't possibly police them all.

The only way to police them would be by webhosts themselves...

Webhosts...

Well, the whole thing is riding on them.

The weakness that would fall before they would is that of the ISP.

It's a fine line because you want to support webhosts and try to make them strong, but you do NOT want to politicize them. Ever.

ISPs...

Even if the webhosts do their best in defending freedom etc., ISPs will be the ones who end up fucking everyone. It'd be as divided as the states.

Then there's the domain registry, don't even get me started on that... but still not as big a deal as the ISP.

It's all hanging on by a thread bro.

Just another reason why having your own website is a good idea...

Because if one place holds all the traffic and info and it goes down...

Well that's just gay.

But if it's divided up, then even when one site goes down, others are still up.

Centralization of the internet is one of the worst things that could happen to it, and censorship goes hand in hand with it.

There's a guy on Blab who runs a safe domain registry. I'll look it up and post it later.

The whole idea behind the internet is decentralization...

That's why crypto and that kinda shit is so popular here.

Exactly what I've been preaching about. And people are starting to get it since Blab has been having so many issues.

Yeah well the alt sites are going down...

Like I literally always said they would BTW, I won't bother to link it.

Any alt site that stands successfully during this is either not important enough to them, or it will be/is compromised by them.

There could be exceptions, but in general...

Nah, the alt sites are going down...

This is the division of the internet and could be the lead in to "Internet 2"...

https://www.sectual.com/thread-2050.html

It's definitely a kerfuffle.

Well I mean, I've been saying ALL this shit, ALL along.

Literally.

The entire time this site has existed, and many years before it.

Anybody can lick their finger and feel which way the fuckin' wind blows.

LOL...

But I guess a lot of people get hung up on the idea of what the future will actually be like.

I am not predicting legitimate widespread doom here...

shrug

It is what it is.

It will be the best of times, and the worst of times...

Just like it always is.

If Gab stays up, it may be the official controlled alt.

Having all conservatives crammed into one website is exactly what a controlled alt would look like. I've been trying to tell people that. They hit the like button on everything, but comprehend nothing.

Me: I can't respond to your comments. Come to chat if you want to converse.

Them: *mash the like button*

Facepalm

Shove that goddamned like button up your asses.

That Trump account on Blab is just a bot account that was pulling in his tweets. When Twitter banned him, the feed went silent.

It'll be sad for it to end and for him to be replaced with extremely elderly and/or simply boring people.

She's an idiot. Nobody actually got offended by her third-rate attempt at humor. They're complaining to Twitter to point out the hypocrisy.
