It’s not listening thru the mic, it’s accessing text.
I never leave apps open in the background.
So it’s just constantly reading whatever you type in iMessage, or the iPhone keylogs and shares everything with Instagram.
Either way I deleted that shit...
I became pretty disgusted about it.
Disgusted by Apple...
Just disgusted.
I want a smart phone but I don’t really want iPhone anymore...
Just fooling myself thinking anything else is less compromised though.

I power the phone down at night because I’ve just become totally suspicious of these devices.

I just realize now how constant and in depth every aspect of the surveillance is and I’m...
Turned off.
Pretty much just want to go ‘take a hike’ to be honest.

I know it’s listening through the mic too, but in this specific instance, it was a word that was only used in text and is in no way a common word.

I know Gmail has been logging keywords and displaying ads for those, Google has been sharing search terms among its evil cohorts, and listening in on mics for keywords for years and years...
First time I’ve seen this happen between apps though.

The phone is the worst you guys, the WORST.
I think it’s because of the satellite aspect and how it tracks your every move.
I think it also picks up on brainwaves or something, like I first theorized in this thread:

i just like to think of it like i am a grown ass baby with a baby monitor still in my room
and somebody still cares enough to listen in and make sure i am ok , makes me kind of tear up

I didn´t know this either. That´s pretty fucked up. They´re sneaking this in and the masses of consumers won´t care enough to stop buying their products or using the apps that go in cahoots with them.
