Alcohol is the gateway for Zane which leads into ALL the other bad things.
(As it is for many people with that problem.)
And since he's been to rock bottom (recorded for the whole world to see, and that's definitely the first time he'd ever been that low) it'll be easy to find that place again and end up there again.
