Could mean anticipation of cases, or knowledge of existing cases...
They always roll it out slowly.
My guess is it'll take them a few days to 'activate' their 'centers', release trackable, public word that they've done so, and then admit that there are cases.
In the US, a lot of people should be leaking (credible) info in the coming days if this is really serious.
Lubbock's a big city too. Population 255,885.
If it goes hot in a city that size it could be disastrous.
Surrounding big cities being:
Amarillo, Texas [pop. 200,000]
Wichita Falls, Texas [pop. 132,000]
Abilene, Texas [pop. 123,000]
Roswell, New Mexico [pop. 48,000]
And it's not unheard of for people to do daily commutes from
say Lubbock to Abilene, or Lubbock to Amarillo. Spreading it would
be as easy as soft butter on warm toast!

Even if this all turns out to be bullshit [which I really hope it does!] you know
there's gotta be something brewing that they're about to try and spring on us
from behind the scenes. Just what has happened so far, the pretense of it all, that
hasn't been for nothing. God only knows what it could be but I'm sure it's not just
to mindfuck us. Better to be prepared. Even a few things are better than nothing.

ESPECIALLY if the virus isn't a big deal...
We're seeing either the installment of a new system of control, or an actual pandemic situation.
Maybe both, if it was actually an engineered and purposely released contagion.

And swine flu (as well as the accompanying panic, if it can even comparably be called that) was fucking nothing compared to this.
Or this is one big smear campaign to hurt china exports so other countries whos spy agencies planted the virus benefit from increased exports.
Absolutely could be, but when I read your post I just immediately got the feeling that it's bigger than that.
You could be right though.
The whole thing would have to stay an issue mainly only in China and die down/never gain traction elsewhere for that to be true though.
